We're delighted to meet you!
SaaSpacho is the brain child of two colleagues-turned-friends who are passionate about delivering quality software. We started this site as an outlet for our thoughts on software development, our (ever unfinished) side projects, notes on talks we followed at conventions or whenever we played around with something cool and felt like sharing our findings.
Tech we focus on
We love Kubernetes! Kubernetes is the de facto standard for container orchestration, be it on a hyperscaler cloud environment, on premise, on a local hosting provider or in your homelab. Whether it's EKS, Talos or another distribution, Kubernetes' extensive ecosystem, portability and flexibility make it a great choice for running applications of all sizes and complexities, which is exactly why we love working with it!
When it comes to cloud providers, AWS is our hyperscaler of choice. While AWS offers a wide array of services for all kinds of purposes, we will always try to prioritize portability over service convenience. Of course this differs on a project-by-project basis, but we will always try to avoid lock-in and favor open source solutions that can be easily migrated to other environments if needed.
Lately, the notion of Digital Sovereignty is gaining traction. While we haven't found our preferred alternative yet, this is definitely on our radar.
Open Source is the backbone of modern software. It has enabled the rapid development of software and the democratization of technology, allowing individuals and organizations to collaborate and innovate on a global scale, while keeping software free and open.
